Gratitude 105

Prayer: a solemn request for help or expression of thanks addressed to God or an object of worship.

My own prayer has gone through an evolution right along with my growth. At first, I was needy and always asked for something. Needy. Very needy.

When I / we receive a blessing or energy transmission from Guruji Mahendra Trivedi, he begins by telling us to take off our shoes and socks (no obstructions for this energy), then to begin our prayer to the God of our understanding. We do this for a minute or so and then he asks us to go in silence for a certain length of time.

I am beginning with this for several reasons:

  • The God of Your Understanding
  • Prayer

The God of Your Understanding

Have you ever thought about what that means? There are over 700 billion people in the world and each and every one of us has our own understanding of God. Can you imagine answering to 700 billion names, beliefs, desires? Crazy right?

Each of us, even those who worship in groups in churches or synagogues, or any other institutional religious group, understands God differently. We may be taught God in a certain way, but those teachings are dependent on our understanding of the teaching and our filters. By filters, I mean the way we perceive at the world around us based on experiences, hurts, joys, punishments, or rewards received as we grew up. Most of us are still ruled by our early formative years, even if we don’t want to admit it. This is my belief, I don’t have scientific evidence to back it up, but I haven’t looked for it yet.

We each have our own understanding of the Divine.

Prayer

How I pray evolved over the years, from needing and wanting to gratitude. If I ask for something now, it goes along the lines of:

“Let there be more God in me than me in me.” – Dahryn Trivedi

I really like that. It pretty much says it all.

I used to pray for more money, for love, for whatever I thought I didn’t have and wanted. I prayed to be free from pain until last year. When I took my last pain pill almost a year ago, I realized I needed a new goal!

Right now, we are in the middle of ‘Special Prayers’, inspired by Navratri, a mystical time when Divine Energy is at peak and opens a window of unprecedented opportunity. These 9 nights of powerful prayers are to honor the Divine to grace us with profound and elevating shifts of development, leading us to greater prosperity and happiness in all areas of our life.

Special prayers are a time when our guardian angels go on Sabbatical.

A time when old programming can be shed and replaced with better newer programming.

A time when your fate and fortune can be changed. Special Prayers are indeed special!

Special prayers changed my life via Guruji Mahendra Trivedi. Completely and totally improved every aspect of it. Hence, the evolution of how I pray.

Now, when I pray, I am grateful. I am grateful for everything, even if what happened seemed to be horrible at the time. It wasn’t. The worst perceived events held the greatest gifts. My prayer is a prayer of thanks.

  • Thanks for my gifts.
  • Thanks for my freedom from pain.
  • Thanks for my greater understanding of the Truth.
  • Thanks for my vastly improved connection to my Spirit and therefore the Divine.
  • Thanks for my joy, peace, and calm.
  • Thanks for my freedom from depression and boredom.
  • Thanks for everything I can remember.
  • Then, silence. (freedom from a restless mind!)

Where ever you pray, whenever you pray, I hope you remember to be grateful for what you have and not be needy for what you think you don’t have. Remember to be grateful for your God-given gifts!

Gratitude changes you in many ways. Some of those ways are stated in 101, 102, 103, and 104…the precursor to this. Find your gratitude and live there.

“Prayer is the Love Affair Between the Creator and Creation (you).” – Guruji Mahendra Trivedi

I am gratefully yours.
